- Decatur Athens Aero Services has purchased the assets of Hill's Hobby shop. There is now a hobby shop located at the DAAS FBO. Meet all your flying needs (RC and full scale) at DAAS!
- The next Private Pilot Ground School will begin on Thursday, February 16, 2006. The classes will be held each Thursday from 5:30-7:00 pm at the airport. An Instrument Pilot Ground School will be taught beginning in June, 2006. Please call (256) 355-5770 for more details.
- An ILS is being installed.
